S4PLAST

A mobilizing project framed within the collective efficiency strategy of the Engineering & Tooling cluster, aiming to create new knowledge that will result in the development of sustainable polymer-based products with differentiating features for the market. It considers design for circularity, sustainable materials, and intelligent, autonomous and precise production systems, in a zero-defect production perspective.

Objectives

  • Development of holistic methodologies to support product design and development, considering the entire life cycle
  • Development of technology to produce plastic parts with metallic-looking aesthetic features
  • Development of multifunctional components with a reduced number of materials
  • Development of processes for the recovery and reuse of materials resulting from plastic transformation
  • Development of integrated and multifunctional product design.
